Accounting Assistant

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting & Administrative Associate to support our finance and executive operations. This role combines bookkeeping, accounts payable management, reporting, and administrative coordination to ensure smooth day-to-day business operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience with QuickBooks Online, financial reporting, vendor management, and executive support, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. This is a fast-paced position suited for someone proactive, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working collaboratively with a remote team. Core Tasks: Assist with monthly and quarterly bookkeeping and reporting Create and provide custom / ad-hoc reporting as needed, including budget-to-actual reports Manage outreach to suppliers / vendors to facilitate on-time payment Manage monthly accounts payable process Properly book and manage expenses and income for accurate reporting Assist with other administrative and personal assistant tasks Assist executives with booking travel, event coordination / logistics, managing inboxes and calendars, etc Assist with other projects as needed Must-Haves: 3+ years experience in an AR/AP or junior accounting role 2+ years experience with Quickbooks Online for bookkeeping (or similar tool) Proficient knowledge of GAAP / IFRS accounting/reporting Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Intermediate - advanced skills in Excel/ Google Sheets skills Familiarity with Slack and Zoom for internal team coordination / communication Ability to work EST Nice - to - haves: CPA or similar international education Passion and background working for sustainability-focused companie Experience working as an Executive assistant
