Adjunct Professor of Early Childhood Education

Remote · Norway Full-time

Our client, a distinguished educational institution in Houston, Texas , is seeking a passionate and experienced Adjunct Professor to teach courses in Early Childhood Education. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-campus instruction and remote teaching capabilities, providing a flexible yet engaging work environment. The successful candidate will contribute to shaping the next generation of educators, fostering a deep understanding of child development, pedagogical approaches, and curriculum design for young learners. Responsibilities include developing and delivering engaging course content for undergraduate and graduate students, designing curriculum that aligns with current research and best practices in early childhood education, and creating assessments that accurately measure student learning outcomes. The Adjunct Professor will also be expected to provide constructive feedback to students, facilitate classroom discussions, and maintain an active presence in online learning environments. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field. A minimum of three years of direct experience working with young children in an educational setting (e.g., preschool, daycare, kindergarten) is required. Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to effectively teach in both face-to-face and online formats is essential for this hybrid position. Key qualifications include a strong theoretical foundation in child development theories (e.g., Piaget, Vygotsky), knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies for early learners, and familiarity with state and national early childhood education standards. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are crucial for interacting with students, faculty, and staff. The ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity is also important.
