They are seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join their Management Accounts team in Glasgow, where the role involves delivering high-quality financial reporting and insight to support business performance.

Responsibilities

• Month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll)
• Balance sheet reconciliations & variance analysis
• Produce clear, insightful financial commentary
• Partner with stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues
• Support audit processes and maintain strong financial controls

Skills

• Experience in financial or management accounting
• Studying towards ACCA / CIMA / ACA (or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to produce clear financial commentary
• Good communication skills with non-finance stakeholders
• Intermediate Excel skills (advanced desirable)
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to prioritise independently
• Experience with SAP or Dynamics 365 (nice to have)
