• Licensed attorney in good standing, with an active RI bar membership.
• Experience in any legal area. At NLL, we are here to learn from each other, so applicants from any background are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work independently. While NLL is here to support and guide each other, there is a difference between support and dependency. The expectation is that you can handle your caseload.
• Accountability. Your hours are up to you. We only ask that you fully commit and hold yourself accountable to the cases you chose to take on.
• Strong Work Ethic. At NLL, we believe in work life balance. You tell us how much time you can commit. However, in doing so, evaluate your goals to ensure that your time commitment to NLL will produce your absolute best work.
• Sense of Humor. You have to laugh in this position. It's a requirement.
• Have a dedicated home office with a computer, printer, and internet access.

What can you expect? This is an Of Counsel or Independent Contractor position. This is NOT a salaried position. There are no benefits. However, you will get the flexibility to create your own schedule AND NLL will pay for your insurance. Additionally, NLL provides all the necessary legal software. The best part, if you bring the client to NLL, your split increases.
