Position Overview The Billing Specialist – Clinic ensures timely and accurate reporting, invoicing, and collection of payments from clients and contracted locations. This role supports efficient billing and claims processing through collaboration with off-site billing agencies and internal teams. What You’ll Do

• Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims (electronic and paper)
• Ensure accurate coding and payer-specific compliance
• Track claim status, follow up on denials, and manage appeals
• Post and reconcile insurance and patient payments
• Generate and send client statements
• Address billing inquiries and assist with payment plans
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
• Use Excel and billing software to manage and report data
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the billing team

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing or insurance claims processing
• Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding
• Strong understanding of EOBs, ERAs, and denial management
• Proficiency with billing software and EHR systems
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel (formulas, filters, and pivot tables preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving
• High School Diploma required; Associate degree or billing certification preferred
