Business Analyst Intern

​​​Job Description The Digital department supports the planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of websites, online products, and digital tools. Work typically begins with a business or client request, which is reviewed to understand the objective, scope, priority, timeline, and expected outcome. The Digital team then translates that request into actionable requirements, creates or updates Jira tickets, coordinates development work, and tracks progress through the appropriate workflow. We operate within the software development lifecycle (SDLC), which includes requirements gathering, planning, design, development, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance. Testing and validation are built into the SDLC so that changes are checked against requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality expectations before they are promoted to production. As a Business Analyst Intern, you will review the intake of business requests (collecting all relevant requirements, ensuring clarity), facilitate efficient, effective development, and conduct functional testing and quality assurance on code pushed to production environments using testing software. In this internship, you will gain experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile development, project management tools (Jira and Asana), requirements gathering, cross team communications, and Quality Assurance/Quality Check (QA/QC). Duties & Responsibilities Supports Business Analyst and Digital Manager by assisting and facilitating ticketing and production flow in Jira. Alerts Account teams on Digital efforts and approval processes. Helps maintain project timelines, milestones, and schedules. Performs QA on Digital Team deliverables and documents issues. Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for customer service. Strong attention to detail; if spotting broken links, catching layout quirks, and playing a game of 7 errors sounds satisfying, this internship is for you! Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong organization skills. Excellent time management. Curiosity and willingness to master new tools. Ability to work independently on an assignment. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team. Education & Experience Strong basic computer skills Coding/development experience a plus.
