Overview

Reporting to the Alberta Regional Sales Manager, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for driving growth within the infrastructure market across the Western Canada region. This role is focused on building and strengthening relationships with consulting engineers and project owners, with the goal of influencing specifications and positioning Victaulic solutions early in the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of the local infrastructure and water/wastewater market, along with an established network of industry contacts. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Business Development Identify and develop new business opportunities within the infrastructure market, with a focus on consulting engineers and project owners Build and maintain strong relationships to support early engagement and specification influence Leverage market knowledge to position Victaulic solutions on key infrastructure projects 2. Technical Collaboration & Process Management Participate in technical discussions and support specification development with engineers and project stakeholders Manage project workflows and maintain consistent engagement across all phases of the project lifecycle Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and execution 3. Business Case Development Develop and present value-driven solutions, highlighting cost savings, efficiency, and long-term benefits Maintain a strong understanding of product applications within infrastructure and water/wastewater systems Support stakeholders with technical insight and solution-focused recommendations 4. Stakeholder Engagement Build long-term relationships with consulting engineers and project owners to drive specification and adoption Deliver presentations and lead discussions to promote Victaulic solutions Engage contractors and additional stakeholders as needed to support successful project execution

Required Qualifications

Educational Background Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) considered an asset Industry Experience Proven experience within the infrastructure sector, ideally working closely with consulting engineers and project owners Demonstrated ability to influence specifications and navigate complex project environments Strong track record in relationship-driven sales and business development Technical & Process Skills Strong technical aptitude with the ability to confidently engage in engineering discussions Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project coordination skills Communication Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts Professional, relationship-focused approach with a long-term mindset Mobility Willingness to travel across the region as required Why Join Us?
