Construction Project Manager - Remote - North Bay

We are searching for a talented Project Manager (PM) for a full-time direct hire role with a Capital Construction Project Management firm. The PM will be part of the Capital Construction Team. The position will involve coordinating with multiple internal and external departments to manage the life cycle of project execution. This role will work remotely with site and office visits in the Sacramento, Stockton to Yosemite areas. You must live in this area. ABOUT THE COMPANY For over 30 years, our client has been an industry leader in providing Project Management Solutions for Capital Construction Projects. Focusing on Utilities, Oil, Gas, Water, and other Large Construction Projects, their Project Controls Professionals have worked on some of the largest Capital Construction Projects throughout the US. They are certified as a Federal Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and State of California Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (SB/DVBE). POSITION SUMMARY The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects This position has overall project management responsibility and provides a single point of contact for those projects. It requires independent judgment in applying Project Management fundamentals, working with minimal supervision. The PM interacts with senior internal and external contacts. Responsibilities - Develop and define project scope and objectives. - Establish and lead the project team with agreed-upon roles and responsibilities. - Obtain commitment on detailed work plans, including schedule, cost, resource, contingency, and communication plans. - Obtain management approval as needed and be responsible for project tracking and analysis of project costs, scope, and schedule. - Ensure project documentation is maintained. - Develop, monitor, and update the project cash flow and financial forecasts. - Ensure all specialized materials are ordered in a timely manner. - Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables. - Communicate project status regularly to all stakeholders. - Assess project risk and formulate mitigative contingency plans. - Implement quality standards, review project deliverables, and communicate variances accordingly. - Identify and communicate lessons learned and incorporate prior lessons learned as best practices into projects. - Adjust project scope, with project sponsor approval, and schedule as appropriate to accommodate changes. - Identify project performance issues, analyze, and address them in a timely manner. - Effectively complete multiple projects concurrently. QUALIFICATIONS - 3 years of experience in civil construction or engineering project management, project controls, engineering, and/or equivalent experience. Desired Skills - Knowledge and experience with utilities, capital construction, or underground construction. - Use independent judgment in selecting and applying Project Management methods and techniques to determine cost-effective and practical solutions Salary range - approximately $130,000 - $140,000 depending on experience.
