About the Role

A leading AI research lab is seeking experienced Legal professionals to join a project aimed at improving how AI systems understand, process, and reason about complex legal concepts. In this role, you will design challenging legal questions, evaluate AI-generated responses, and provide structured insights that shape the future of AI in the legal domain. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review legal questions and evaluation sets across multiple practice areas.
• Assess AI-generated legal responses for accuracy, clarity, and logical reasoning.
• Solve domain-specific legal problems to benchmark model capabilities.
• Synthesize complex legal information from statutes, case law, and academic sources.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback to align AI systems with legal standards and practices.

Qualifications

• Advanced legal education or credentials (e.g., J.D., LL.M., S.J.D., Ph.D. in Law) from a top university.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to synthesize information across diverse legal sources.
• Preferred: prior law practice or industry experience (litigation, corporate, regulatory, etc.).
• Location: Must be based in the U.S., U.K., Canada, or Australia.

Project Details

• Start Date: Immediate.
• Duration: 4 weeks (with extension potential).
• Commitment: Part-time, ~20+ hours/week.
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule.

Compensation & Contract

• Rate: $110–$130/hour (USD).
• Performance Incentives: Top performers may earn an additional $20–$100/hour bonus.
• Independent contractor engagement.
• Daily payments via Stripe Connect.
