Credentialing Specialist/Payer Enrollment

About the position We are seeking a detail‑driven Credentialing Specialist to support the accurate and timely credentialing of providers in a remote environment . Responsibilities

  • Performing timely and accurate primary source verification
  • Completing accurate and timely data entry of all credentialing activities into the credentialing database
  • Coordinating credentialing, recredentialing, and delegated credentialing activities
  • Maintaining credentialing files and documentation in compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards
  • Providing excellent customer service and ongoing communication to providers, physician office staff, and internal teams
  • Educating providers on the credentialing process and maintaining consistent follow‑up
  • Identifying trends, assisting with performance improvement initiatives, and supporting reporting efforts
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, bylaws, and government regulations

Requirements

  • 3 years of credentialing/privileging experience , or 1 year of credentialing experience plus 2 years of clinical experience
  • Relevant education may substitute for experience (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of organization and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Data entry proficiency and comfort working in credentialing systems
  • Knowledge of compliance, accreditation, and regulatory standards
  • Adaptability in a remote work environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
