Development Consultant, Europe Location: Western Europe (Remote) Contract Duration: 6 months (part-time or full-time considered) Reports to: Managing Director, US About myAgro: myAgro is an award-winning non-profit social enterprise based in West Africa. About the Consultancy: myAgro is seeking a Development Consultant to support the organization's fundraising efforts over a six-month engagement. Working closely with the Development team, the consultant will identify and cultivate new funding opportunities. This is a remote consultancy role based in Western Europe, designed to bring focused capacity to myAgro's development function during a critical period of organizational growth. Scope of Work: Advance myAgro’s plan for securing annual and multi-year funding from European governments, multi-laterals, foundations, corporate donors and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs). Identify new European / Europe based donors through research and outreach to create and develop a new European donor portfolio. Cultivate and steward relationships with European funders through regular engagement — meetings, site visits, and strategic touchpoints. Partner with CEO and Managing Director, US for as needed for follow-on funder meetings and presentations Deliverables: Deliverables will be finalized with the selected consultant at the start of the engagement and may include: Funding Landscape Map — An overview of priority European government, multilateral, foundation, corporate, and HNWI prospects, with funding size, alignment to myAgro's mission, and recommended entry points. Portfolio Pipeline — A qualified pipeline of net-new European funders with documented outreach activity, contact records, and a phased cultivation plan for each. Multi-Year Funding Proposals — An agreed upon number of letters of interest, concept notes, or full proposals submitted to European funders targeting annual or multi-year commitments. Relationship Engagement Log — A record of all funder touchpoints (meetings, site visit coordination, strategic communications) with notes on relationship status and agreed next steps for each key prospect. You Have: 5 or more years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit development. Demonstrated ability to write high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and donor reports. Experience building and managing a portfolio of institutional and/or individual funders. Donor database management skills, preferably in Raiser's Edge. Experience working with international donors, particularly in the context of global development or agriculture. Experience in or familiarity with West Africa is a strong plus.
