At Early Care & Education, we are committed to supporting your career, family, and future. We are seeking a Director of Education to support the School Director and Director of Education in overseeing the daily operations of our early education center. This position ensures compliance, operational excellence, quality customer service, and effective staff support. We are looking for a Director of Education who will play a vital role in shaping curriculum excellence and teacher development across our centers. This is a classroom-focused leadership position—you’ll spend about 80% of your time in early learning classrooms, modeling best practices and coaching teachers. The remaining time is dedicated to administrative tasks, data analysis, and planning professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct classroom observations and create behavior intervention plans
  • Mentor teachers on curriculum, lesson planning, and assessments
  • Lead professional development sessions in collaboration with Spiritual Development
  • Rotate between centers to provide on-site coaching and support
  • Track and analyze academic and behavioral data to inform strategies
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Applicants must hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher, such as an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Must meet minimum education and experience requirements as set by HHSC/DFPS
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet medical requirements for caregivers
  • Maintain current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED
  • If transporting children, must hold a valid Class C driver’s license and complete annual transportation training
  • Have Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior early childhood teaching experience
  • Experience in a leadership or management role in a licensed childcare setting
