The Role

As a Full Stack Data Specialist, you'll be part of our Promotions Information Designing team, which sits at the heart of building an information ecosystem that resolves Netflix's understanding and dynamic about what influence promotions have on our business. Your primary focus will be to design, build, and extend the core information models that our Promotions capabilities use to address business questions. You'll work closely with our skilled information designers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all information components from various sources fit together seamlessly and deliver high-quality information to the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, build, and extend the core information models that our Promotions capabilities use to address business questions

• Collaborate with partners to identify needs, model tables using programming and data warehouse best practices, and develop information pipelines to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality information
• Work closely with Examination Architects, Data Researchers, and Computer Programmers to create data indexes that will serve analysis and reporting needs intuitively
• Foster best practices for the management of data indexes with sensitive data
• Build strong and collaborative relationships with data researchers, analysis specialists, and AI experts
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing, data modeling, and data transformation for both batch and streaming

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, and data transformation
• Strong foundation in data warehousing, data modeling, and data transformation for both batch and streaming
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and Java
• Experience with distributed processing systems like Hadoop, Hive, and Pig
• Strong understanding of data security, GDPR, and data protection regulations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with data visualization tools and techniques

• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and services
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
• Experience with data quality and data governance frameworks
• Strong understanding of data analytics and business intelligence tools and techniques
