Job Overview The Recruiting Analytics group at Tesla is responsible for analyzing data to identify hiring trends, optimize device design, and make data-driven decisions. As a Data Analyst, you will be embedded within the Recruiting business unit and will contribute to the development of data-driven solutions to drive business growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering groups, to design, build, and maintain data models, and to develop reporting tools that provide insights into key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

Apply a product-centric approach to data and reporting, ensuring discoverability through user-friendly documentation and trustworthiness with rigorous data tests Design, build, and maintain data models to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility for analysis Collect, analyze, and present data from various sources, including internal systems and external data providers Effectively communicate data analysis to non-technical audiences, including stakeholders and business leaders Identify trends and patterns in data to inform hiring decisions and optimize recruiting processes Collaborate with engineering groups to develop device upgrades that support the team's goals and objectives Ensure successful integration with downstream systems and accurate reporting to stakeholders Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in data analysis, as well as experience working with recruiting or people operations teams. You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field, and at least 2 years of experience working with data analysis tools and technologies.

Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience Previous experience working with People or Recruiting teams, or in-depth understanding of full-cycle recruiting Relational database experience, including proficiency in SQL and other common query languages Understanding of CI/CD workflows and automated testing Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI Critical thinking and a problem-solving approach to analysis Preferred Qualifications Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in data analysis, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines. You should also be able to think critically and approach problems with a logical and methodical mindset.
