triOS College is a Canada-owned private career college dedicated to helping students become job-ready graduates. They are seeking a Financial Aid Officer to provide financial counseling to students, process financial applications, and maintain student records while contributing to a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Interview student applicants to discuss financial options
• Process students' financial applications
• Create payment plans for students
• Maintain financial reports, issue receipts, and track payments
• Daily Banking (deposits and credit cards)
• Student Accounts / Accounts Receivable / Collections
• Financial Aid administration and funds distribution
• Follow-up with students and administer the Student Loan Default Management tasks
• Correspondence with Career Colleges and Financial Institutions
• Enter student data in Great Plains (GP) & XCAS (when applicable)
• Additional tasks as assigned

Skills

• 1 to 2 years of related work experience
• Experience working with student financial aid is considered an asset
• A strong background in customer service and sales
• Proficient with MS Office, primarily Word and Excel
• A criminal background check will be required for the selected candidate
• Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working in a Private Career College
