We are looking for contributors to be a part of what God is doing, in our small but growing publishing company, as we dive in to rebrand our magazine on hope to Lets be the Good, Shining a light in the dark. Are you someone who likes to bring joy and good news? We’re seeking a dynamic Freelance Writer, on an assignment or submission basis, not on staff, freelance. Someone who can craft compelling stories, articles, blog posts, & social media content, that resonate with diverse audiences. This is a contract freelance role, as a contributor to impactful projects with our well established visitor magazine and relaunch of the product focused on hope and faith, grace and grit. • Accept assignments or develop original written content tailored to target audiences
• Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and depth in all topics covered
• Edit and proofread drafts to maintain clarity, coherence, and adherence to AP style guidelines
• Collaborate with clients or team members to refine content based on feedback and project goals
• Fact-check all information to uphold journalistic integrity and credibility
• Possible to help with social media accounts by creating engaging posts and monitoring audience interactions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in story telling, in journalism, copywriting, or professional writing roles with a strong portfolio of published work
• Excellent writing skills with mastery of AP style and attention to detail
• Ability to produce high-quality content efficiently under deadlines
• Strong editing, proofreading, and copy editing skills to ensure polished final products
• Knowledge of social media management tools helpful, along with strategies for maximizing reach and engagement
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients or team members across projects
• Experience with research techniques and fact-checking processes to ensure accuracy
