Role Description We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Sales Director to spearhead our European market expansion initiatives. This is a transformational leadership role designed to unlock unprecedented growth opportunities by revolutionizing payment solutions for Europe-based multinational corporations operating or planning to expand their operations in India by selling to Indian customers. You will be the architect of our go-to-market strategy, building strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth in this critical market. Key Responsibilities · Strategic Market Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate the European market and drive PayU’s growth among European MNCs / merchants · Revenue Generation: Own and exceed ambitious sales targets by identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value enterprise deals with large conglomerate/ corporations · Relationship Management: Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders, decision-makers, and key stakeholders at Fortune 500 companies · Market Intelligence: Conduct deep market analysis to identify emerging opportunities, competitive landscapes, and strategic partnerships in the Europe payments ecosystem · Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, legal, and compliance teams to ensure seamless delivery of payment solutions tailored to Europe market needs · Thought Leadership: Represent PayU at industry conferences, events, and forums to establish market presence and brand authority · Strategic Partnerships: Identify and establish strategic alliances with key players in the European financial services ecosystem including payment service providers, banks, processors, and technology partners like orchestration platforms · Solution Consulting: Work closely with prospects to understand their payment challenges and architect customized solutions that drive business value when collecting payments from Indian customers · Market Entry Strategy: Pioneer new market segments and verticals while developing scalable sales processes and methodologies Required Qualifications · 10+ years of progressive sales leadership in payments/fintech/financial services, with a record of scaling new businesses and driving enterprise B2B revenue growth · Proven success in C-level stakeholder management and complex enterprise sales cycles ($1M+), with exceptional executive communication, presentation, and negotiation skills · Deep expertise in the SEPA payments ecosystem (Visa, Mastercard, ACH, wires) and emerging payment technologies · Cross-border payments expertise and emerging-markets business development; strong command of international banking regulations and compliance standards (PCI DSS, EMVco) · Technical aptitude to understand complex payment infrastructure and integration requirements; experience with SaaS, API-first, and platform-based business models · Experience working with multinational corporations and navigating operational complexities · Established network within Fortune 500 and the European financial services ecosystem · Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments · Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or payments-domain experience What We Offer · Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives · Flexible remote work environment with occasional travel opportunities · Professional development budget for conferences, training, and continuous learning · Opportunity to shape the future of payments and drive transformational growth · Work with cutting-edge technology and industry-leading payment solutions · Collaborative culture with talented professionals · Direct impact on company strategy and market expansion initiatives Success Metrics · Achievement of annual revenue targets and growth objectives · Successful onboarding and expansion of European MNC merchant & Payment Service Provider base
