Track important deadlines and ensure attorneys have all necessary documents for hearings, depositions, and mediations. • Client Support and Communication Act as the first point of contact for clients, gathering essential information for cases and addressing basic inquiries. Provide empathetic support during sensitive and emotional legal proceedings. • Legal Research Conduct research on statutes, legal precedents, and case law relevant to family law and divorce proceedings. Summarize findings to assist attorneys in case strategy and preparation. • Scheduling and Coordination Schedule and confirm appointments, hearings, and meetings with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff. Manage attorneys’ calendars to avoid scheduling conflicts and ensure deadlines are met. • Discovery Process Assistance Assist in gathering and reviewing discovery materials, including financial documents, affidavits, and witness statements. Organize discovery items and ensure they are submitted in a timely manner. • Trial and Mediation Preparation Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and timelines for court hearings or mediations. Provide attorneys with necessary case materials and ensure they are well-prepared for presentations. • Court Filing and Compliance File documents electronically or physically with the appropriate court and ensure compliance with Florida court procedures. Monitor and update case progress as it moves through the legal system. • Administrative Support Assist with general administrative duties, including correspondence, data entry, and drafting client communications.
