About the position Sarah’s Pet Sitting is seeking dependable, compassionate animal lovers for flexible part-time opportunities as a Pet Sitter & Dog Walker in the Hamden and North Haven areas. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, staying active, and building relationships with pets and clients. The company has been serving Central Connecticut since 2008 and is known for its reliability, professionalism, and compassionate in-home pet care. Many team members are teachers, retirees, veterinary professionals, remote workers, parents with daytime flexibility, or individuals seeking rewarding supplemental income.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients’ homes to provide care for dogs, cats, and small pets.
• Dog walking
• Feeding and providing fresh water
• Litter box cleaning
• Administering medications
• Providing playtime and companionship
• Providing detailed visit updates for clients

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
• Smartphone required
• Ability to safely enter and secure client homes
• Comfortable using scheduling and communication apps
• Dependable and responsible
• Comfortable working independently
• Strong communicators
• Detail-oriented
• Compassionate with animals
• Comfortable walking dogs of various sizes and breeds
• Able to work in various weather conditions
• Consistent availability during some mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout the year. Early morning availability is a major plus.
