Project Engineer

A Project Engineer is responsible for leading and delivering customer-facing engineering projects within Industrial Business. The position focuses on applying engineering expertise to solve complex technical challenges, drive innovation, and support the successful execution of multiple projects in parallel. Working cross-functionally, the role contributes to project planning, design, and implementation while ensuring alignment with business objectives, quality standards, and customer needs. The geographical scope of the role covers the south of Poland. The position is fully remote but requires approximately 20% availability for customer visits, audits, and project execution. How You’ll Make an Impact: Lead and execute multiple major customer-facing engineering projects in parallel, applying strong engineering expertise to solve complex technical challenges across Ecolab’s customer environments and markets. Preparation of quotations (scope of supply, customers requirements) for potential projects (small – complex) Plan, schedule, and coordinate key phases of complex projects to meet defined cost, quality, and timeline objectives. Review engineering designs and technical documentation to ensure compliance with established standards, design criteria, and regulatory requirements. Conduct feasibility studies, develop engineering criteria, and prepare manpower, cost, and resource estimates to support informed decision-making. Drive innovation through the development and extension of existing or new products, processes, systems, or methodologies with significant business impact. Actively contributes to project planning and execution using recognized project management tools and techniques while collaborating on cross-functional teams. May provide technical guidance or task coordination for small project or development teams. Manage multiple projects simultaneously with moderate supervision, demonstrating a high degree of independence and accountability. Management and coordination of sub-contractors (external 3rd party) during project realization Build and expand a professional network by collaborating across functions and business units. Proactively stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices within the relevant engineering discipline. Operate within one division, supporting a defined scope of Industrial Business. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience. 3–5 years of directly related engineering experience, preferably in a customer-facing or project-based environment. Strong self-management skills with the ability to prioritize, organize, and deliver results independently.
