[Remote] ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. OCHIN, Inc. is a nonprofit leader in health care innovation, delivering clinical insights and tailored technologies to improve health access. The Accounting Specialist is responsible for payment processing and accounts receivable invoicing, collaborating with the Finance team and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Record a high volume of invoices, expense reports or payments the accounting ERP system
  • Calculate, prepare and process invoices
  • Collaborate with Senior Accountant extensively on various tasks to ensure timely processing of invoices and reporting requests
  • Track statements of work and issue related billings; coordinate and collaborate with SOW team to ensure smooth workflows
  • Research and respond to inquiries from vendors, member and/or departments within OCHIN
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in high volume Accounts Payable
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and ERP systems
  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50–60-minute competency assessment
  • Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service
  • Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations/teaching
  • Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN's business requirements for Go-Live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment
  • High Speed Internet Service

  • NetSuite preferred
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle AP, GL structures and chart of accounts, preferred
