Remote Accounts Receivable Specialist Jobs

Job Summary Scalesforth is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will manage the accounts receivable process, ensure timely collection of payments, maintain accurate financial records, and collaborate with clients to resolve outstanding invoices. Key Responsibilities

  • * Generate and distribute invoices to clients accurately and promptly.
  • * Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and follow up on overdue balances.
  • * Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and process adjustments as needed.
  • * Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • * Respond to client inquiries and provide excellent customer service regarding billing and payment issues.
  • * Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the accuracy of client accounts.
  • * Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
  • * Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • * Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • * Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.
  • * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • * Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a remote work setting.
  • * Familiarity with compliance regulations and best practices in accounts receivable.
  • Experience
  • * Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related roles.
  • * Experience working in a remote environment is a plus.
  • Working Hours
  • * Full-time position.
  • * Flexible schedule with availability during core business hours (Monday-Friday).
  • * May require occasional extended hours during month-end or audit periods.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • * In-depth understanding of accounts receivable processes and procedures.
  • * Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports.
  • * Strong problem-solving skills to resolve account discrepancies efficiently.
  • * High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • * Familiarity with remote collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, and project management software.
