The Associate Project Manager role involves leading small projects, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations, and managing project scheduling and risks.

Responsibilities

• Leading the project team allocated to the project
• Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials
• Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued
• Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract

Skills

• Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business Field preferred) and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience; or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments
• Project management experience required (PMP certification preferred)
• Strong communicator and team-oriented mind set
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Strong reputation for customer focus
• Demonstrated experience with ERP (SAP preferred), MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other office software
• Must be able to read Engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environment
• Maintain high standards for safety and housekeeping and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
