[Remote] Business Consultant / Business Analyst - Saas
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trace One is a global leader in PLM and Compliance solutions within the process manufacturing and retail CPG space. They are seeking a Business Consultant to join their Professional Services team, where the role involves translating business needs into effective software solutions and ensuring high-quality delivery and long-term product adoption.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer workshops to gather, analyze, and prioritize business and functional requirements
- Collaborate with Enterprise Solution Architect to produce the Business Blueprint and ensure solution design meets business needs, project constraints, and product vision
- Deliver elements of system design (data migration rules, business rules, prototypes, detailed specifications)
- Contribute to multiple projects in parallel, working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams
- Support development, QA, and UAT phases by defining requirements, acceptance criteria, and validating deliverables
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing functional guidance to customers, partners, and internal teams
- Support Sales and Pre-Sales activities, including RFPs, RFIs, and solution demonstrations
Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Consultant delivering software solutions
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of and experience in the use software design and modeling tools (e.g. UML etc.)
- Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, and stakeholder management
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in PLM and/or Food & Beverage /Chemical environments is a strong plus
- Professional working proficiency in Italian language
- Proficient in English, both in written and verbal communication
