[Remote] Business Development Lead

TNEI is an independent specialist energy consultancy providing technical, strategic, planning, and environmental advice to companies in the energy sector. They are seeking a Business Development Lead to drive the growth of their IPSA power system analysis tool across the global energy industry.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth of IPSA across the US, UK and European energy markets
  • Expand the product into new markets and build strong long-term relationships across the energy industry
  • Develop strategic connections with utilities, consultants, renewable developers, EPCs, grid operators, and industrial clients
  • Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity development to closing high-value deals
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline while contributing to the company’s rapid international growth

Skills

  • 5+ years of successful sales or business development experience in the energy, utilities, or power systems industry
  • Exceptional communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong understanding of the energy sector, grid technologies, or power systems
  • Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and close enterprise-level deals
  • Self-driven, commercially minded, and excited to be part of a fast-growing technology team
  • Experience selling engineering, simulation, analytics, or SaaS platforms
  • Existing network within utilities, renewables, or energy consultancies
  • Exposure to international market development and strategic partnerships
  • Willingness to travel across the US, UK and Europe
