[Remote] Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pride Health is hiring an Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) for one of its healthcare clients. The ODBA is responsible for the installation, maintenance, monitoring, and support of Epic Operational Database environments and InterSystems IRIS platforms, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor database server performance and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Administer and maintain Epic ODB and InterSystems IRIS environments
  • Apply security updates, hot fixes, and service packs
  • Perform database backups and validate restore procedures
  • Manage database security and access controls
  • Create and maintain database objects
  • Support disaster recovery and high-availability failover testing
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization activities
  • Collaborate with Epic and internal technical teams to resolve issues
  • Participate in change management and system upgrade activities
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Provide on-call support as part of a 24/7 rotation

Skills

  • Current Epic ODBA Certification
  • Experience with InterSystems IRIS Administration
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX Administration
  • Strong database administration and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with system patching, security remediation, and performance monitoring
  • Knowledge of System Pulse, System Performance Analytics, and Capacity Management
  • One of the following is required: Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of direct Epic experience; OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of direct Epic experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years of Information Technology experience
  • Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • 2+ years of healthcare industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business, or a related field
