About the Role

Our client, a prestigious national catering organization, is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Remote Lead Catering Logistics Coordinator. This senior role is critical for managing the complex supply chain and logistical operations that underpin successful catering events across the country. You will be responsible for optimizing delivery routes, coordinating with multiple vendors, managing inventory across various locations, and ensuring that all resources are effectively deployed to meet event demands. The ideal candidate is a master of logistics with a proven track record in a high-volume catering or event management environment, capable of leading and innovating from a remote position. Your strategic oversight will be essential in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery for all our client's events nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to support national catering operations. Oversee and optimize the scheduling and coordination of deliveries, equipment, and personnel. Manage vendor relationships, including sourcing, negotiation, and performance monitoring. Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems across all operational hubs. Analyze logistical data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality. Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and standardization. Lead and mentor a team of logistics coordinators, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Collaborate with sales, culinary, and event management teams to ensure seamless event execution. Utilize advanced logistics software and technology to manage operations effectively. Proactively identify and mitigate potential logistical risks and challenges.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior coordinator role, preferably in the catering or events industry. Proven experience in managing complex logistical operations, including fleet management and inventory control. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and catering operational requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in advanced logistics software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for managing remote teams. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a remote environment. Strong negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers. Must possess a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, professional home office setup.
