About the Role

Our client, a pioneering force in advanced materials manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Remote Manufacturing Process Specialist to enhance their production capabilities from a distance. This role is dedicated to the remote analysis, optimization, and documentation of complex manufacturing processes. You will leverage your expertise to identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and ensure consistency and quality across different production sites. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, strong analytical skills, and the discipline to excel in a fully remote work environment. This is an exceptional opportunity to drive critical process improvements within a forward-thinking company without the requirement of relocation.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes. Collaborate remotely with on-site production teams, engineers, and quality control personnel to implement process changes. Utilize process simulation and data analysis tools to model and optimize manufacturing workflows. Document process flows, equipment specifications, and operational parameters. Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions. Stay current with industry advancements and emerging technologies in manufacturing processes. Provide remote technical support and guidance on process-related issues. Assist in the training and development of site-based personnel on new or improved processes. Contribute to new product introduction (NPI) processes by defining manufacturing requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing operations, process engineering, or a similar role. Proven experience in process analysis, optimization, and documentation. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency with data analysis tools and manufacturing software. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration and documentation. Experience with CAD software or process simulation tools is a plus. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is desirable.

Benefits

Our client offers a competitive salary, commensurate with your extensive experience and remote capabilities, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. This includes premium health, dental, and vision insurance, a robust 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching, generous paid time off, and paid holidays. This role provides the significant advantage of remote work, allowing you to operate from anywhere in the US. Opportunities for professional growth, advanced training, and career progression within a leading-edge manufacturing company are plentiful. Our client cultivates an innovative and collaborative remote work culture, prioritizing efficiency, process excellence, and employee development, making it an ideal environment for experienced manufacturing specialists.
