Remote Real Estate Property Manager - Single Family Homes

About the Role

Our client, a growing property management company specializing in single-family homes, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Remote Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of properties. This fully remote position requires excellent organizational and communication skills to manage tenant relations, coordinate maintenance, and ensure the smooth operation of properties. You will be the primary point of contact for tenants and owners, handling inquiries, lease administration, rent collection, and coordinating property upkeep. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses a strong understanding of landlord-tenant laws, and is adept at utilizing property management software to maintain efficiency. This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US while managing properties across various markets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations for a portfolio of single-family rental properties. Serve as the primary liaison between property owners and tenants, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. Oversee the leasing process, including marketing vacant units, screening prospective tenants, and preparing lease agreements. Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative services with qualified vendors. Process rent payments and manage late payments and eviction procedures as necessary. Conduct move-in and move-out inspections and manage security deposit dispositions. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal landlord-tenant laws and regulations. Maintain accurate property records and financial reports using property management software. Proactively identify and address potential property issues to minimize costs and tenant dissatisfaction.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential property management, preferably with single-family homes. Proven ability to manage a portfolio of rental properties remotely. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations. Proficiency with property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Access to reliable internet and a dedicated home office space.
