They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver software solutions for their insurance business, focusing on backend services and collaborating closely with product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support microservices and APIs
• Write unit, integration and automated system tests
• Lead designs of major software components and systems
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
• Contribute to improvement initiatives across the Engineering organization
• Complies with responsibilities of working for a private equity
• Complies with all local legislative requirements
• Adheres to company guidelines and the corporate Code of Conduct
• Where appropriate, keep up to date with legislative requirements
• Acts in an ethical way when dealing with company assets and other people

Skills

• 5+ years professional software engineering experience
• C#, NodeJS/JavaScript
• Microservice and API design
• Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills
• Positive self-starter
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Customer service focus, both internal and external
• Sufficient humility to be wrong, own up and learn from mistakes
• Working with cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Messaging systems (RabbitMQ preferred)
