Scrum master/pm support (remote with meetings in washington, dc)

This position is remote but there will be periodic meetings onsite in Washington, DC. Candidates must be within driving distance. Candidates will need to get a Public Trust Clearance. Government experience is required. Position Summary Booker DiMaio is seeking a Scrum Master / PM Support professional to support a federal application modernization initiative focused on replacing legacy OpenVMS/DCL-based systems with a modern Python-based middleware platform and Unified Client Application. This role is responsible for supporting Agile delivery coordination across technical teams, ensuring sprint execution, tracking program progress, and maintaining visibility into risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Agile software development teams in structured enterprise or federal environments. The position is primarily remote with periodic onsite engagement in the Washington, DC area. Candidates must be eligible for Public Trust clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Agile Scrum teams with sprint planning, backlog refinement, coordination, and execution
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Track and manage action items, risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies
  • Maintain project documentation, status reporting, and delivery tracking artifacts
  • Support schedule coordination, milestone tracking, and team follow-ups
  • Maintain visibility into deliverables, priorities, and program timelines
  • Support communication between technical teams, program leadership, and government stakeholders
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination and release readiness activities
  • Contribute to a structured, transparent, and well-organized delivery environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Prior government experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience supporting Agile software development teams in enterprise environments
  • Experience with Scrum methodology and Agile delivery frameworks
  • Experience supporting sprint planning, reporting, and delivery tracking activities
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and documentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience supporting federal application modernization or digital transformation programs
  • Experience working in DevSecOps-enabled or CI/CD-driven delivery environments
  • Experience supporting large-scale, multi-team Agile programs
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through in structured delivery environments

Work Environment

Primarily remote with occasional onsite support in the Washington, DC area. Participation in Agile delivery cycles within a federal modernization program. Standard business hours with flexibility based on program needs.
