Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain 5G core network elements and radio access networks (RAN). Develop and implement network strategies for 5G deployment, ensuring scalability and performance. Monitor network health, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and operations, to integrate new features and services. Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for the 5G network. Stay abreast of the latest 5G technologies, standards, and industry best practices. Automate network configurations and operational tasks using scripting and relevant tools. Document network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for a remote team. Ensure network security and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Participate in on-call rotations for network issue resolution.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in telecommunications network engineering, with at least 2 years focused on 5G technologies. Strong understanding of 5G NR, SA/NSA architectures, 4G LTE, and associated protocols. Experience with virtualized network functions (VNFs) and cloud-native network functions (CNFs). Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and network scripting (e.g., Python, Bash). Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote work environment. Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and evolving project requirements.
