The Senior Legal Counsel will serve as a key legal support, ensuring our US commercial operations, contracting, and compliance programs are robust, efficient, and aligned with our ethical standards. This full-time role offers an opportunity to directly influence how we build our US presence while supporting ex-US legal and compliance needs when required. Job Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to General Counsel and Head of Compliance & ESG
  • Advise on risk assessment and mitigation, offering clear, actionable guidance aligned with business needs
  • Draft/review/negotiation of agreements with commercial and support service providers
  • Ensure compliance with US healthcare regulations, including privacy laws (HIPAA), anti-kickback rules, and commercial practices
  • Act as a sounding board for cross-functional teams (Commercial, Legal, Market Access, Medical Affairs)
  • Navigate ambiguity with a solution-oriented and agile mindset
  • Contribute to cross-border legal projects and help align US and EU compliance frameworks as the company expands globally.
  • Maintain a proactive, collaborative approach in a fast-paced, resource-conscious environment and adapt fluidly to business evolution.

Job Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification; admission to practice law in the US required.
  • 7+ years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical law, with a proven record of supporting US commercial launches.
  • Deep knowledge of US healthcare and commercial law and contracting, including regulatory and compliance obligations relevant to rare disease areas.
  • Demonstrated expertise in privacy law and healthcare compliance (HIPAA, Sunshine Act, Anti-Kickback Statute).
  • Skilled negotiator with strong judgment and the ability to balance risk with business practicality.
  • Excellent communicator—clear, concise, and commercially attuned.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and effective in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience supporting or collaborating on international legal matters preferred.
