Senior Vendor Manager, Dental Business Consultant

Position Summary This role is responsible for the strategic management, evaluation, and oversight of vendor relationships to ensure optimal performance, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, monitors vendor performance, and drives process improvements to maximize value from vendor partnerships. This role serves as the strategic owner of vendor contracting and ongoing vendor performance, ensuring contracts align with state regulatory requirements, Aetna standards, and business objectives.

  • Lead and execute the strategic vision for vendor management, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, service level agreements, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate collaboration between internal stakeholders and vendors for complex deals and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve process gaps, risks, and issues related to vendor relationships.
  • Lead end-to-end dental vendor contracting activities, including new contracts, amendments, NDA, LOA and terminations across Medicaid and Medicare programs.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to leadership on vendor performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support audits and compliance deliverables related to vendors
  • Drive continuous improvement of vendor management and contracting processes, tools, and documentation. Establishing best practices, templates, and standard work to improve efficiency and reduce variability across markets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance vendor management processes and outcomes.
  • Facilitate JOC meetings on with health plan leadership, internal stakeholders and vendor representatives
  • Provide support for additional projects as assigned, contributing to cross-functional initiatives and organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading contract negotiations and managing complex vendor relationships
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid and/or Medicare programs
  • 5-7+ years of vendor management experience
  • 5 years of experience in government programs
  • Adept at problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork
  • Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
  • Experience in contracting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $67,900.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
