The Manager, Product Sourcing will develop strategic plans for commodities, collaborate with business units, and manage relationships with strategic suppliers to execute sourcing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develops a strategic plan for a commodity and supply base
• Collaborates with multiple business units to execute Supply Chain strategies
• Owns and responsible for relationship with multiple strategic suppliers
• Evaluates and selects supplier alignment based on price competitiveness, capability, quality, reliability (TCO)
• Analyzes data and information to determine reasonable prices
• Negotiates and executes long term agreements with supply base that aligns with commodity strategy and internal stakeholders needs
• Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature
• Works with limited oversight from leadership
• Manages several projects at one time with a variety of complexity
• Clearly communicate commodity or project status to leadership
• Ability to identify and pursue VA/VE opportunities through collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Lead change management or work transfer projects for cost savings or better alignment with supply base
• Influence and support Collins strategic initiatives and change management projects

Skills

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
• Strong Analytical skill (Excel, Access database, SAP)
• Knowledge of Supply Chain practices and Commodity Management
• Experience with Connectors or Harness Assembly
• Results in negotiation, work transfer, or project execution
• Negotiations skills
