[Remote] Staff Software Engineer – AI Platforms & Infrastructure
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SPECTRAFOR is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale next-generation AI platforms and intelligent systems. The role involves developing scalable software systems, building Generative AI solutions, and collaborating with various teams to enhance engineering productivity and platform modernization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, production-grade software systems and AI platforms
- Build Generative AI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG pipelines, agentic AI, and vector databases
- Develop internal platforms, SDKs, APIs, and shared services that accelerate engineering productivity
- Design and optimize inference and model-serving platforms for enterprise AI workloads
- Build and maintain cloud-native applications and distributed systems at scale
- Drive architecture reviews, technical strategy, and platform modernization initiatives
- Implement CI/CD, GitOps, observability, monitoring, and operational best practices
- Collaborate closely with ML engineers, data scientists, platform teams, and business stakeholders
- Manage Kubernetes-based environments and deployment workflows
- Champion engineering excellence, scalability, reliability, and security
Skills
- Software engineering experience with strong system design and architecture expertise
- Hands-on experience with Python and modern backend development
- Experience building AI/ML platforms, GenAI applications, LLM-based solutions, or RAG systems
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and modern deployment practices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and platform engineering
- Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, model serving, or MLOps/LLMOps concepts
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction across teams
- Experience with Go, Rust, or C++
- Experience with inference platforms such as vLLM, Triton, Ray Serve, or KServe
- Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, SSO, SCIM, and enterprise security frameworks
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or other regulated industries
